CEFAS Endeavour, fisheries support vessel drifting across the horizon. No fishing boats to support this morning though!

It’s a lighter, brighter, calmer and more relaxed morning this morning, the breeze still from the north west but only a breeze.
There are veils of cloud drifting leisurely here and there but there are also wide open spaces of blue. And the glassy surf is small, a foot, occasionally a lazy two feet but it looks inviting and the mild air temperature helps.
It could be a day for the longboard today, knee to hip-high gliding in some one to two foot peelers.
Don’t forget the sunblock!

It’s pretty much flat, flat around here this morning, a gentle wash of tide rather than surf.
The wind is light and the sky is bright but there are no waves to ride here this morning – it’s the other side for a small wave glide today!

Surf Forecast for Wednesday 24th June 2015

The breeze should stay light today but from the south west, maybe the south, either way a milder and more wave supporting direction.  So there should be a still small but slightly more solid little swell starting to push in through the day.  The wind might strengthen a little into the afternoon as the sea breeze effect kicks in but otherwise we should enjoy a mild and pleasant day with a nice couple of feet of fun surf to play in!

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

Another frustrating week of onshore winds and fairly weak, mainly small surf is waiting for us this week.
But the wind does look like it might lighten as we go along and the swell should remain consistently in the two to three feet range. A few more weeks of these conditions and we will all be expert mush grovellers!
But at least it’s not flat and looks like it could pick up through the back half of the week.
The weather is likely to continue to be patchy too, starting out a bit damp and breezy through Monday but lightening up as we go along.
I’m guessing that after a dreadful start, it might just all turn out to be better than we expected this week!
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
