Constantine (1*):  1 to 2 feet

One to two feet of fairly sloppy and mushy little surf is reluctantly rolling into the bay beneath a cloud-heavy sky this morning, the breeze onshore with just enough strength to make it all a bit messy.
The wind is forecast to slip more to the south west which should help to push a little more surf our way. It is still only going to be fairly weak, close-fetch kind of stuff but should be worth getting in on. Take a big and floaty board though, it’s not the kind of surf to be supporting anything too feathery!

Harlyn (0*):  Flat

It’s all but flat here today!
There are tiny little ripples teasing their way onto that high tide patch down at the end of the beach but they’re not rideable. Which is a shame because the wind is okay here and it’s forecast to improve by slipping more to the south west.
The forecasts are also showing a bit of a push in wave size into this evening too but I don’t think that it will get big enough to swing into here, not yet anyway.
So it looks like a day of slip sliding on the one to two feet of sloppy surf over on the other side today!

Surf Forecast for Saturday 12th August 2017

North westerly winds are going to be mixing and messing a couple to three fete of close-fetch, weak and still mixed up windswell, today but it might end up being a lot better than it sounds!
The wind should stay light, the weather is likely to be good enough and those waves might just get bigger than we expected. Not much but maybe enough to make it proper fun!

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

The winds should gradually ease as we go into this weekend, the fresh north westerlies of Saturday morning calming to a breeze by the afternoon and remaining calm as we go through Sunday.
Those breezes are still going to be onshore though, north westerly through Saturday, slipping south westerly through Sunday.
With only localised, residual windswells wandering into the bays, it’s not looking like an exceptional weekend for surf but there should be enough around to tempt us in and will probably end up being quite a bit better than we were hoping for.
The same goes for the weather, it’s not promising too much but it should turn out to be way better than we were expecting!
Have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
