This is a bit more like it for this time of year; there are still bundles of clouds drifting lightly above us but there are plenty of wide blue bits inbetween as well, just to give us hope.
The northerly breeze is lighter and the air is drier than it has been for a few weeks, the threat of a shower not too far away but without that permanency that it has had.
And there’s a couple of feet or so of crumbly and so far only lightly ruffled surf breaking pleasantly on those sandbars that still remain after weeks of driving onshore winds.
Yep, it’s a pleasant day to wander down for a surf!

Harlyn (0*):  0 to 1 foot

It’s all but flat here this morning, that onshore northerly breeze having an effect on those tiny wavelets too.
So the odd six inch mush burger is trickling ashore, the very occasional bigger one slopping its way onto the sand but not very often.
The beaches on the other side of the headland are the places to go for a surf today, it’s not very big over there but at least it looks fun!

Surf Forecast for Tuesday 19th September 2017

South westerly breezes are going to push some finer weather our way while supporting some small but fun and very surfable little waves.
Yep, it’s looking to be a very pleasant day!

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

The wind is likely to have lightened a lot as we go into this week, and the skies should be brighter too allowing some pleasant beach time for those with the time!
The breezes are likely to blow more from the south and west throughout week, a milder direction than that annoying north westerly that we have been enjoying so much lately and it should help to support just a little more swell as it rolls our way.
So the start of the week should see us surfing a couple of feet of crumbly, onshore surf at the main breaks in some moments pleasant late-summer sunshine before seeing a little push in the swell through midweek.
Yep, it should end up being a fun week of pleasant surf!
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
