Constantine (0*):  Huge but Blown Out

Sheet rain is obscuring the horizon this morning, that and the warping hedgerows that are being battered by the shrieking wind.
It is pretty stormy out there, the wind screaming in from the west, the wild surf drunk-dancing into the high tide bay, throwing froth across the dunes and slam-dunking the engineering works on the coastal path.
The surf is out of control, whitewater stretching to the Quies, that foam-speckled turquoise washing back and fore in the shallows but still glorious nevertheless!
There’s no rideable surf here, not today!

Harlyn (0*):  Big and Blown Out

The wind is storm-blasting in here this morning as well.
Broken waves are spread across the bay, the high tide wash pushing back and fore, swirling through the bridge in between sets.
As one squall blows through, a wide gap of tempting blue sky brings momentary cheer before the next ferocious downpour hits, a freezing sandblast of cold, cold rain stinging the dogwalkers into submission.
There’s no surf to ride here today either, the surf really is wild and out of control. It might be worth a trip to the far coast but it is likely to be blowing a hooly over there too!

Surf Forecast for Tuesday 24th February 2015

Another cold and windy day awaits, not as cold and not as windy but still fairly ferocious!
The surf is going to be huge, only gradually dropping as the main storm gradually eases by but it is still going to be real big and real blown out on this coast all day.

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

Big swells are rolling our way for the start of this week, the wind powering through from the west, blowing harder and harder, driving those big, big waves into our craggy little bays and coves.
The surf is going to be big at the start of this week, very big!
But, as so often, those wild winds are going to destroy any chance of getting into the surf around here anytime soon.
Our only chance of getting some cleaner stuff is to take that drive all the way over to that far coast again!
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
