Constantine (3*):  3 feet.

A fabulous morning is unfolding about us this morning, a clear and bright dawn sunrise casting long shadows across the frost tinted shore.
And the surf is still clean and enticing!
The air is still and the sky is blue and three feet or so of smooth and glassy swell lines are swooping into the bay at low tide, tripping over those shallower banks.

Harlyn (1*):  1 foot

Really small but pristinely glassy little waves are snapping onto the shore here this morning, glinting and glistening in that early morning winter sunshine.
It is pretty but there ain’t much surf!

Surf Forecast for Tuesday 24th January 2017

A building swell is likely to be rolling our way with a steady south westerly wind behind it today. That wind won’t be too strong but is probably going to be strong enough to slop out the main breaks.
So it looks like a proper Winter’s Harlyn day with three to four feet of sand drenching and glassy barrels to play in!

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

Although this week is likely to start off with pristine conditions with that light offshore breeze, the same three feet of swell, early morning frost on the beach and a beautifully clear sky, south westerly winds will soon be bringing milder air our way while pushing in some lumpier and thicker swells.
We could be seeing some big and solid surf through midweek as the winds strengthen just enough to slop and chop our favourite surf breaks.
Yep, it looks like a Harlyn week ahead with more typical surf for this time of year.
Although we might just see some offshore action on Wednesday and into Thursday, if only for a short while. The wind might just nudge south easterly, allowing some big and majestic waves to sharpen up the action. That probably won’t last long, if it happens at all, or we might just get some hard blowing offshores through Thursday too, it’s difficult to be more precise just yet!
Anyway, we should have plenty of surf to keep us occupied and most of us will be surfing fairly clean if a bit closey outey Harlyn for most of the week!
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
