We have a heavy blanket of cloud over us this morning but there are blue bits peaking through here and there, promising better for later.
The surf isn’t all that either, there’s only maybe a foot of lazy, summer swell rolling in but it is sheet glass right now and so looking that bit more appealing.
The signs are that it should pick up through the day, only a bit though and maybe not until this afternoon.
In the meantime it is just about loggable, if you have some patience and it will probably turn out to be more fun than you were expecting.  And there is that chance that it’s going to build this afternoon by the time that the sun eventually burns through!

We have received our Pukas ’Inspiration Project’ Ts featuring an image of Toby (Donachie) taken by Cheyne and put together by those fine artisans at Pukas in Spain (they’re the guys that make boards for Mr Gabriel Medina) and they’re on the rails now!
Actually we have loads of new stuff hanging on the rails ready for this Summer’s visitors:
Summer wetsuits from O’Neill, Xcel and Alder are hanging alongside surf accessories from FCS and O&E while Reef flip flops are sat next to Vans beach and skate shoes. The newly launched Vissla range of clothes are alongside rails of Brixton Mfg, Captain Fin Co, Reef, Lost, Coastees and the newly inPassenger range as well as our our own Shop logo’d garments.
We have sunglasses from Bolle, Ray Ban and now the brand new dBlanc (and how great are they!) as well as EightyEight and Vision.
Time for a new board for Summer?
Then take your pick from our wide range of boards. We have longboards, short board, fun boards, soft boards, finless boards and all sorts! Al Merrick, Haydenshapes, Meyerhoffer, Sol Life, …Lost, Beach Beat, Hawaiian Soul and Webber, we should have something to suit!
And if we haven’t got it, we can get it!
So, drop in on us this week if you’re around the area!!

No, it is as flat as you like around here this morning.  Glassy and calm and tranquil, a soothing place to hang for a while or to launch a SUP but you’re not going to get a surf here again today!

Today’s Tide Times:

Low Tide:  14:53  (0.9m)                  High Tide:  08:27  (7.3m)

Surf Forecast for Tuesday 17th June 2014

Another bright and cheery day is waiting, with only small waves breaking but hopefully clean and sharp small waves!
Longboards are becoming our closest friends as these calm conditions settle in but at least we are managing to get in and slide across a few. And today should bring another fun day of sliding across those offshore, glassy waves in all that right sunshine!

Pressure170614

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

That high pressure system looks like it’s quite happy to continue to straddle us for the next few days at least, providing more calm and settled conditions for the foreseeable!
The surf is likely to remain small, especially as those already high low pressure systems fill out on their approach.
But it shouldn’t go flat, not just yet anyway.
The week is likely to start off continuing the weekend’s theme of bright sunshine and smallish but very pleasant surf, the breezes drifting offshore through the mornings maybe slipping onshore as the land warms through the afternoons, glassing off in the evenings.
Yep, it’s looking like another very pleasant week of sun and surf ahead of us but make sure that the longboard is to hand, we might be needing it by midweek!
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
