The wind has eased, just, this morning but it is still blowing fresh and cold down from the north west and it’s still blowing the surf to pieces.
Three feet of mixed and messed, chopped up surf is washing into the bay, toppling and tumbling with those hard blowing gusts of cold wind. There are many other more pleasurable things to do other than to paddle out here this morning!
But at least it’s dry and there are some fairly bright gaps amongst those threatening cloud banks!
Harlyn (0*): 1 to 2 feet.
The wind continues to howl in here again this morning but the surf has dropped in size.
So now those waves are barely a couple of feet or so and still blown to pieces!

Those brisk north westerlies look set for another day of chopped out and messed up junk surf in that cold, cold wind.
Luckily we have bit of a winter clearance SALE going on in the shop if you’re over this way!?
Surf Conditions for the Weekend
These howling, onshore winds that we have enjoyed all week look as though they are going to ease as we go into this weekend. Although still blowing in from the north west through Saturday morning we should be enjoying a bit of an all round brighter day but maybe only a bit though! But the wind should gradually calm as the day rolls on allowing a much calmer and brighter, drier Sunday to cheer us up.
The surf is likely to have dropped as we go into the weekend too. Three to four feet or so through Saturday, dropping to only one to two feet through Sunday. But it should be just a tiny bit cleaner on Sunday, not squeaky clean and sharp but maybe just a little better than it has been.
And then next week is starting to look a little sharper with offshore and cleaner, brighter conditions, certainly for the back half of the week anyway.
In the meantime though, we still have those squealing onshores to deal with.
