At 8.05 a.m:

Constantine (3*):  3 to 4 feet.

The breeze has dropped around the compass to a more southerly or south westerly direction this morning and so it’s milder and a bit brighter than yesterday and not affecting the surf too badly either.
So there’s three to maybe four feet of quite clean and glassy surf pushing in this morning, not the squeaky clean stuff of last week but shapely enough. And the forecast is for the breeze to calm as the day goes on allowing for even glassier and cleaner conditions later.
Yep, it’s looking good!

Harlyn (2*):  1 to 2 feet.

The surf is much cleaner and glassier here than it has been all week but it is real small.  Barely a foot or two of smooth and delicate little waves are gently washing onto the sand.  It is pretty but probably a little frustrating to try and surf maybe.

Surf Forecast for Monday 23rd January 2017

A bright and cheerful, mild winter’s day should see temperatures slipping into the midteens range while a light south westerly breeze helps to dry those wet and cold winter wetsuits.
We should be enjoying a couple of feet of okay surf today. Again, not the super clean conditions of last week but fun and playful all the same.

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

South westerly winds are going to be bringing milder air our way this week while pushing in some lumpier and thicker swells.
We could be seeing some big and solid surf through midweek as the winds strengthen just enough to slop and chop our favourite surf breaks.
Yep, it looks like a Harlyn week ahead with more typical surf for this time of year.
Although we might just see some offshore action on Wednesday, if only for a short while. The wind might just nudge south easterly, allowing some big and majestic waves to sharpen up the action. That probably won’t last long, if it happens at all, or we might just get some hard blowing offshores through Thursday too, it’s difficult to be more precise just yet!
Anyway, we should have plenty of surf to keep us occupied and most of us will be surfing fairly clean if a bit closey outey Harlyn for most of the week!
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
