These bright and breezy, long summer days are becoming a very pleasant habit aren’t they?
And it’s another one today!
That big bright blue sky is inviting us down to the golden sands of the bay but unfortunately the atlantic isn’t playing again!
It’s flat.
Again.
The surf schools are likely to just about get the kids up and riding by picking the right place at just the right time but the rest of us are going to be bogging.
And suddenly those SUP boards are really very popular!
Still, those waves will make a return eventually. And in the meantime let’s enjoy these halcyon summer days!

We have received our Pukas ’Inspiration Project’ Ts featuring an image of Toby (Donachie) taken by Cheyne and put together by those fine artisans at Pukas in Spain (they’re the guys that make boards for Mr Gabriel Medina) and they’re on the rails now!

Actually we have loads of new stuff hanging on the rails ready for this Summer’s visitors:
Summer wetsuits from O’Neill, Xcel and Alder are hanging alongside surf accessories from FCS and O&E while Reef flip flops are sat next to Vans beach and skate shoes. The newly launched Vissla range of clothes are alongside rails of Brixton Mfg, Captain Fin Co, Reef, Lost, Coastees and the newly inPassenger range as well as our our own Shop logo’d garments.
We have sunglasses from Bolle, Ray Ban and now the brand new dBlanc (and how great are they!) as well as EightyEight and Vision.
Time for a new board for Summer?
Then take your pick from our wide range of boards. We have longboards, short board, fun boards, soft boards, finless boards and all sorts! Al Merrick, Haydenshapes, Meyerhoffer, Sol Life, …Lost, Beach Beat, Hawaiian Soul and Webber, we should have something to suit!
And if we haven’t got it, we can get it!
So, drop in on us this week if you’re around the area!!

It’s as flat as you would expect around here again this morning. A very pleasant infinity pool of tranquility stretches to the horizon.
Boat ride anybody?
Or SUP? Or Kayak?

Surf Forecast for Monday 23rd June 2014

And on it goes.
These doldrums are stretching out with this week starting out flat too!
We’ll be lucky to see any waves worth riding today again. Once more, the surf schools should find something to allow the kids to enjoy it but they’re going to have to work for it, getting the timing just right at just the right stage of the tide at just the right surf break. But again the rest of us are going to struggle finding waves strong enough to hold our weight!

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

This week is lining up to be yet another sun drenched and glorious week of flatness.
Well, at least to start with that is.
We are going to be lucky to see any waves at all breaking along the length of the coast and really lucky to find any big enough to surf on!
It’s likely to be midweek before any little swells trickle our way. But as the wind eventually slides to the west then small, wind-carried little waves should start to lap our shores.
In the meantime there are all those flat day activities to keep us occupied!
SUP anyone?
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
