It’s a brighter one this morning with ribbons of silver cloud streaking the cream and bue sky while the surf is still pumping!
The breeze is gently whispering from the south east smoothing that four foot swell that is rhythmically beating ashore. That’s a long wave-period again this morning, minutes between sets, longer between the bigger ones. And those bigger set waves are showing some power as they turn themselves inside out off the back of the Reef and again just off the Point.
Yep, I think that it’s safe to say that we’re in for another great day of surfing!

Harlyn (2*):  1 to 2 feet

There are waves here today but small, a foot or two at best.
The tide is way too high right now and so those waves are crumbly and bouncy but it should improve as the tide recedes. If Harlyn is your favourite wave then you might get a little glide later but once again, it’s the other side of the headland that will have the best waves today!

Today’s Tide Times:

Low Tide:  14:49  (1.5m)             High Tide:  08:21  (7.1m)

Surf Conditions for the End of the Week

We have been enjoying a very smart start to this week, the wind light and offshore, the swell having rebuilt and the banks at some of our main breaks finding their shape of old, that double digit wave period indicating some strength to the swell. And by Thursday we should be enjoying more direct offshores with a still solid three to four foot swell. And that is likely to be the way of it right into the weekend! Light offshores and a gradually decreasing but still lively swell should take us all the way though the weekend.  So, an action packed week of surfing in mostly neat conditions continues, with just a little thought and planning and maybe just a couple of short journeys we should be enjoying some great conditions!Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
