A bright and cheery morning is quietly unfolding around us this morning with a steady northerly wind pushing across the bay.
There’s not much surf this morning, especially with these huge, almost 8 metre tides. There’s a foot or so of ruffled wash crumbling ashore every now and then, an indicator that there should be some knee to hip high little waves as the tide drops back in a few hours.
And that is probably as much as we are going to enjoy all day, although we might just see a little surge on this evening’s rising tide.
Otherwise it does look as though we are in for a very pleasant summer’s day!

The surf is completely flat around here this morning with barely a wash of water sloshing ashore ahead of these huge high tides.
Otherwise it is a fabulously beautiful morning with that clear and turquoise sea inviting us in for a paddle at least!

Surf Forecast for Wednesday 2nd September 2015

At least the weather should be bucking up throughout this week and today should be another bright and cheerful one.
The surf however is not too promising. We should end up having a longboard session or two though, probably in knee high but fairly clean conditions.
And then we can prepare for those Autumn swell which surely cannot be too far away now?

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

After that gloomy and windy start on Monday morning, the rest of the week looks set to be bright and sunny and warm.
Bright and breezy weather with tiny but clean surf is likely to set the tone for the week with, at best, only small surf expected throughout.
The wind is likely to be only light for most of the time with high pressure building over us but I’m guessing that we might get into that pattern of gentle breezes in the morning and evenings with stronger and onshore sea breezes through the afternoons.
Still, it could just be a very pleasant week for the kids to finish off their school break offering just a little in the way of good surf too.
