Constantine (0*):  4 to 5 feet

A blustery north westerly blow is bending the marram this morning, the chilly air of autumn rattling across the bay.
Decent sized lumps of grey and sloppy waves are fumbling and bumbling into the bay making for an unrideable, well, unfunable, mess of surf.
No, it’s really not great.
The South Coast will be clean but we will have to wait and see if there’s enough size over there to make the journey worthwhile?

Harlyn (0*):  3 feet

A couple to three feet of windchopped and slopped, junk surf is washing up the beach at high tide this morning.
It’s not inviting although you would probably get the odd air launch if you were keen enough – I always think that Harlyn has a little bit going for it when it’s onshore even if sometimes you have to look through all the chop to find it!
But it is all a little grey and choppy and the wind is cold, the South Coast might just be the place to aim for if you’re looking for something lighter and cleaner!

Surf Forecast for Thursday 7th September 2017

A brisk westerly wind is likely to continue to mess the three feet or so of fairly weak and jumbled surf.
We might enjoy some brighter weather but there are still going to be heavy showers not too far away as well!

Surf Conditions for the Rest of the Week

A fairly solid, three to five feet of rolling swell should be brushing our coast as the schools go back this week, the wind blustering in mainly from the west but veering north westerly as we go along.
Throw some unpredictable, more autumnal weather into the mix and we have the makings of a bit of an ‘end of summer’ feel to the whole week.
But the swells should keep rolling our way and the weather will clear up for most of each day allowing us to enjoy some chunkier surf than we have seen for some time and some short spells of brighter weather too.
So it’s time to wax down your more dynamic boards and get ready for some paddle practice!
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
