At 8.00 a.m:

Constantine (0*):  3 to 5 feet

And it’s another late surfcheck, without video today as well. All the result of a non-charging phone, which will probably lead onto other dramas too.
Ah well, you haven’t been missing too much this morning, the air is filled with that constant and clinging, super-wet mizzle while a steady sou’ westerly wind is just adding enough chill to remind us that it’s a fair way until Spring.
The surf is a mess at Constantine, four feet or so of mixed and mashed, rippy and raggedy, grey waves are bouncing about here and there but without much focus or energy.
But this wind should be better for Hralyn, if it’s big enough.
So let’s go have a look-see…….

Well done to @beachguardian for organising what sounds like another successful beach clean at Treyarnon bay this morning.  Sounds like a good group were involved in spite of the dampness and chill!

And thanks to all of you from far and wide who seem to have enjoyed and taken full advantage of our recent series of Winter Weekend Pop-Up Sales!
I have a feeling that if we hadn’t been running these little events we might not have seen a customer for a while! And that’s the point of them, just to shake things up a bit in what has been a mucky period of local surf and weather!
So we are trying to think of what we can do for this coming weekend!?
We do still have a selection of wetsuits, getting low on some sizes and models of Patagonia and only a couple of hooded Vissla suits but plenty of 5/4 and 4/3 unhooded Vissla as well as loads of Xcel suits in all sizes and models!
So, how about continuing the HALF-PRICE sale on Vissla and Patagonia and 40% OFF Xcel!!?
Add in a massive £150 OFF each our new Lost and Channel Island surfboards and 20% to 30% OFF most of our accessories too and we should have the makings of another Super Flash Sale for this Weekend!! We still have a whole bunch of HALF-PRICE footwear and can add in some sizes of wetsuit boots to those as well!
So, what do you think?
Let us know if there’s anything else we can do (that’s reasonably affordable!!) to coax you through our doors!?

Harlyn (3*):  2 – 3 foot

Some pretty little waves are trundling through here this morning with a couple to three feet of smooth and glassy faced little peaking peelers (for Harlyn!) spinning across the shallows on a mizzly and murky, breezy Saturday morning.
A couple of guys are getting some fun glides on those snappy little sizzlers and it should stay pretty much that way all day long.
Sometimes these mizzle filled days are snuggly comfortable and today feels like one of them.
If you have a decent wetsuit and maybe somewhere drier to change than you’ll probably feel really comfortable out there for a lay play in the surf today!
And if you don’t have a decent wetsuit, we have a sale going on!

surfforecast

Surf Forecast for Sunday 28th January 2018

It should be brighter and lighter, drier kind of day today with slightly bigger surf bumbling in all along the coast.
Harlyn should be our favourite playground again today, with south westerly wind smoother decent there to four feet waves curling their way ashore in that clear winter sunshine.
We hope!!

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

This weekend could just end up being one of two distinct halves.
Fresh westerly winds are likely to be blowing through a four foot swell on Saturday, the weather dreary with plenty of drizzle and mizzle. Harlyn is going to be our best bet for somewhere to surf with a sloppy three feet of bumpy and lightly slopped surf expected there.
By Sunday that wind is likely to be more south westerly and should have eased while the swell should have built and the weather brightened!
It could just end up being a much better day of surf and weather than we have enjoyed for a little while at Harlyn on Sunday!
Have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
