A wet and grey but cosy kind of morning is wrapping us in its dampness this morning, the air still, the sky a canopy of silver.
A gentle kind of almost summer rain is hydrating the parched fields and gardens which might be welcome to the farmers and gardeners but will be a bore to lockdown families everywhere.
What breeze there is is drifting from the north west, so a little cooler than it has been and less kind to the small surf. So just a foot or maybe two now and again, of slopped but still lined up little waves are tumbling ashore, releasing the temptation to kook out on an isolation breaker session.
It could be a long and lazy day today!

Forecast for Wednesday 29th April 2020

A cooler, breezier and brighter day will be tempting us in between showers today, the wind starting out from the south east but ending up chilling its way down from the north west pretty quickly.
The small surf is going to be slopped out today so you’re not missing much there!

Conditions for the Start of the Week

That high pressure system that has been parked over us for a while will eventually drift away this week but only to be replaced by some fairly benign little weather fronts, for most of the time.
The week should start out in pretty much the same flavour as we have been enjoying for a while now but it is likely to feel a little cooler, that early morning breeze carrying a little bite.
The small waves will be cleaned up during midweek as the breeze backs to the south east , shaping and smoothing the two to three feet of taboo surf.
Well, it’s not the surf that is taboo, it’s the getting there – If you can’t stroll down then maybe you shouldn’t go?
By the end of the week blustery onshore winds are going to be pushing bigger swells our way, enforcing a natural lockdown on all surfing activities as those bigger waves wash everyone ashore.
So, very much a change to our recently settled isolation routines as the weather changes, if only for a while.
Stay safe, stay happy, stay home, wash your hands and have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
