At 7.50 a.m:
Constantine (2*): 3 to 4 feet
A light sou’ westerly breeze is bringing mild air into the bays beneath a heavily overcast sky this morning, the breeze just fresh enough to put a bump and lump into the three or four feet of slow moving surf.
The breeze should continue to settle and calm as the day goes on allowing for much better conditions by the mid-afternoon high tide.
Harlyn (2*): 1 to 2 feet
There’s a silence about Harlyn this morning, the car park empty, the beach deserted, a foot or two of small glassy surf whooshing and shishing onto the sand while only the occasional seabird calls for food.
The surf should be a little more solid on the incoming tide but is likely to remain small.
It is clean though.

Surf Forecast for Thursday 16th December 2021
Ooh, the breeze is forecast to slip offshore today, a light south easterly bringing mild and dry air our way as a new four to five foot swell unloads some powerful energy our way.
Today could just be a very good day to be a surfer in Cornwall!
Surf Conditions for the Rest of the Week
High pressure is likely to settle over us during the back half of this week, bringing light offshore breezes and calm, settled weather just as a new swell starts to pulse our way.
Those well travelled swells will be rhythmically beating their way to our shores for the next few days at least, the offshore breezes grooming that mid-teens wave period surf into something quite special!
It does look as though we are in for a very pleasant period of quality surf with some solid swell and perfect conditions lasting all the way through the weekend at least.
That water temperature is starting to drop noticeably though, so it’s a good job that our shop is stocked with lovely warm wetsuits and stuff.
Have you seen those Wetty boots yet? They are cosy and warm (but selling fast!)!!
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
