At 6.40 a.m:
Constantine (4*): 4 to 6 feet.
The early morning sunshine of a cheerful Spring morning is slowly burning off the hangover fug of a mist-laden day.
The air is still, a slight breath of a breeze drifting offshore into the rolling waves of a still thick and lumpy swell. Four to five to six feet of thick and glassy high tide lumpy waves are pushing into the bay, shadowing swell lines reaching back to the Quies as those long travelled waves explode ashore.
The swell is likely to ease off as the tide drops back while the breeze should stay calm and offshore. The sunshine may lose its battle against the southern european clouds that are warmly drifting up and over us but it should stay calm and mild throughout the day, maybe getting damper this evening.
So it’s all looking good, in fact it’s all looking very, very good again for another wonderful day of great surf all along the coast!
Harlyn (2*): 2 to 3 feet.
A couple of feet of wobbly glass surf is rolling ashore here just after high tide this morning, the occasional bigger set of waves reminding us that this swell is thicker and stronger than it looks.
As the tide drops so will the size of the surf but it should build again on the afternoon’s tide, a couple to three feet of fun surf offering an easier alternative to the power of the other side of the headland.
Today’s Tide Times:
Low Tide: 12:10 (0.3m) High Tide: 18:01 (7.5m)
Surf Forecast for Saturday 7th May 2016
A bright and sunny, summery day should be showing a much smaller foot or two of swell but with that warm and pleasant offshore breeze still rising up from the south east.
Lazy beach days are calling and it would be rude not to, don’t you think?
Surf Conditions for the Weekend
Smaller waves are likely to be occupying us this weekend, the breeze light and from the south east, offshore and set to stay that way for the whole weekend.
So, a couple of feet of peeling and clean surf in some gorgeously warm weather throughout Saturday, maybe just dropping to more of a longboard glide for Sunday.
Have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
And don’t forget the suncream!
