Another beautiful day is spreading some high summer brightness all along the coast, a brisk offshore (south easterly) wind rustling across the smooth surface of the sea.
Yes, it’s flat this morning.
Tiny ripples are zipping across the shoreline, immaculate little peelers rideable only by a micro surfer but not big enough to float a surfboard.
But don’t write it off completely, there should be some knee to hip high gliders rolling in on this afternoon’s tide!

It is a beautiful but flat sea that greets us this morning, an infinite infinity pool of offshore groomed smoothness!
The weather is so gorgeous too!

Surf Forecast for Wednesday 17th August 2016

The surf could just be very, very pleasant today!
Those offshore winds should have calmed a lot overnight, allowing some more swell to push in against it and then to be shaped by it.
A couple of feet of barrelling and looping, peeling little surf should be appealing to us all in the sunshine of a fun August Wednesday filled with surf!

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

We should be enjoying a long awaited but no less fabulous start to this week, the sun set to shine, the breeze set light and offshore, the surf small but perfectly formed.
Tiny conditions might have frustrated the grumpier and less nimble on Monday but the weather and deliciously shaped little waves should have made up for any lack in size, while Tuesday should start to deliver some much more rideable surf, if only after a bit of a wait. A couple of feet of offshore shaped and peeling little surf should glint and glisten by high tide on Tuesday afternoon in the beautiful summer light of cloudless skies.
Make the most of these beautiful conditions though, they won’t last forever! Midweek will see some bigger and still gorgeously shaped surf but the breeze is likely to kick back onshore as we go through the back half of the week, with some much bigger surf promised for the weekend!
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
