A mizzle filled, murky, damp and clammy old morning is marking the change in our weather this morning, a light onshore breeze slopping the tiny waves down in the bay.
And those waves are tiny, a foot at best of slow moving and lazy little, bumpy waves being pushed by the lightest of westerly breezes beneath the dullest of skies.
We’ll probably get a longboard session in later maybe but it’s going to be more of a ‘something to do’ thing than a surf stoking session.

Harlyn is quiet this morning with mizzle and gloom muffling the cheery greetings of early morning swimmers and dawn dogwalkers.
There’s no surf here today and it has that look to it that there might not be any waves breaking here for a good little while yet!

Surf Forecast for Tuesday 16th August 2022

A brisk north easterly breeze is going to emphasise the temperature drop today, the max being more like 18 deg C rather than those 30 plus degree temperatures of last week.
But in return, we might just see a little wave tumbling in, nothing too special but maybe a couple of feet of fairly clean little surf just ahead of high tide.

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

As that high pressure system gradually slips away, a series of little fronts are going to bounce our way through this week.
And of course those more northerly breezes will return, dropping the air temperature by a few degrees too.
But there’s still not much out there to produce any real swell so we are likely to be scratching about trying to find some more rideable surf where we can throughout the week.
With the wind veering between north westerly and north easterly and then settling for a while to bluster in from the west, we really are going to have to hunt around to find the best options.
But, overall we should manage to enjoy some fun little surf for most of the time this week.
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
