Constantine (1*):  1 to 2 feet

There’s a bone chilling nor’ wester blowing down the coast this morning, freshening the air and clearing the sky while keeping the air temperature low.
It is also junking out the foot or two of choppy and weak surf that is washing along the sand.
So this bright and cheery morning is cold with little surf to play in one again!

Harlyn (1*):  0 to 1 foot

There’s almost a foot of windblown and choppy little surf tumbling over itself here today, all dark looking and uninviting, tiny and weak too.
The wind is blowing in hard and cold mixing and frothing those tiny waves.
No, there’s not much surf to ride here today!

Surf Forecast for Tuesday 18th April 2017

Light offshore breezes are going to make a big change today but of course the waves are going to be tiny at best.
Having battled against that breeze on their way here, those little swell lines are probably going to produce a foot at most of pretty and shiny, peeling little waves in some welcome sunshine. But it is going to be titchy tiny!!

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

Small and weak little windswells have been plaguing us for the last week or so as North Westerly winds have blown their chill air our way, not doing much to support any little swells while ruining the wave shapes. And we will have to endure those conditions for at least another day or so until the wind changes.
But by Tuesday we should be seeing some much cleaner conditions, the wind having switched to the East and South East, offshore at all of our main breaks.
So, smooth and clean conditions can be expected through most of this week as the kids reluctantly shuffle back to school for exams, summer sports and other summer term shenanigans.
With bright and sunny conditions expected throughout the week we can look forward to some pleasant but chilly weather too!
And so it is a huge shame that there just isn’t going to be much around in the way of surf!
Small or tiny waves are going to be the most that we can hope for this week and even to find those we are going to have to watch the tides and charts and then hope for some luck too!
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
