Our mighty leaders of the free world are wakening to a typically mizzle filled, silver snuggly Cornish morning as they rattle their gilded cages of security down in Carbis Bay this morning, a gentle sou’ westerly breeze lightly crumbling three feet or so of wavering swell.
The weather will eventually clear up but it will take most of the day – it might well be tomorrow before Cornwall struts onto the world’s screens resplendent in summer’s sunshine.
In the meantime the surf is not the best but will probably be more enjoyable to ride than it looks, which pretty much sums up the weather too!
Harlyn (1*): 0 to 1 foot
Harlyn is basking in a peaceful, mizzle filled calm this morning, small waves trickling over the high tide bank, the silver sea reflecting that silver sky, all ringed by the golden glow of the damp sand beach.
The surf is barely rideable, you might catch the odd trickier if you have a board big enough but it’s the other side where the action is again today.

Surf Forecast for Saturday 12th June 2021
A light northerly breeze is likely to disperse that loitering mizzle of the last few days, allowing the crew of the G7 a glimpse of a smarter, sharper Cornwall.
With a three foot, reasonably spaced swell rolling our way we are likely to be enjoying some very summery surf in nicely warming waters.
It’s unlikely to be great but there should be enough surf to go around and there should be enough to put a smile on all of our faces.
Surf Conditions for the Weekend
A bright and pleasant weekend awaits as high pressure eventually settles above us, snuggling us in calm breezes and some bright sunshine.
Small but very prettily shaped little surf is expected to roll our way throughout the whole weekend, the breeze just managing to eventually breath offshore through Saturday afternoon, sharpening and cleaning those already fairly smooth little waves.
Sunday is promising some beautifully clean and sunny conditions with smallish but perfectly shaped little surf to play in but with gorgeous weather, high temperatures and plenty of sunshine!
