After yesterday’s fog and gloom and then last night’s torrential rain, this morning’s fabulously bright start is more than welcome!
A fresh westerly breeze is ruffling the surface of the deep blue sea as maybe a foot of swell ripples in, cresting on those wasted sandbars and peeling to shore.
This breeze should help to reinforce any little waves out there as they totter towards us.
We should be able to enjoy a couple of feet of maybe slightly sloppy surf through most of the day and this bright sunshine just might help to make it look better than it actually is!

It is absolutely flat here again this morning, beautiful and bright and cheery but flat.

Surf Forecast for Saturday 14th May 2016

A light but steady south westerly breeze should have been helping any waves out in the atlantic to roll our way, like a sheepdog rounding up all those stray ones and making the central pack much bigger.
And so we should be enjoying a couple of feet or so of quite close fetch but fun little surf for most of the day. The wind should be light in the morning and evening, freshening through midday and into the afternoon.
And we might even get away with a bright enough and dry enough, fun kind of day!

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

A very pleasant weekend appears to be waiting for us with light enough but mainly onshore breezes and mostly clear skies although with only very small waves.
Saturday looks to be the favourite to enjoy some fun and summery surf with maybe a couple of feet of fairly weak surf forecast for most of the day. Some sunshine is expected too as well as that chance of the odd shower and that should last throughout the whole weekend.
By Sunday though the waves might have weakened and shrunken again, the breeze veering to the north west, onshore and chillier too.
But, pick just the right stage of tide at just the right place and you should enjoy some more longboard wave gliding in some bright and cheery sunshine.
Have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
