Surf Report for Friday 17th January 2020

At 7.55 a.m:

Constantine (0*):  3 to 4 feet

The wind is shrieking into the bay again this morning, hurling stinging rain about as shortburst showers gallop away over the dunes. There’s some blue sky up there but it’s amongst a lot of heavy clouds too.
And that bitingly cold north westerly wind is trashing the smaller surf, just cross chopping and shaking the three feet or so of junked out and trashy surf.
It could be a day for something else!

Harlyn (0*):  2 to 3 feet

The north westerly wind is screeching onshore at Harlyn this morning, shaking and stirring the two to three feet of already chopped out and slopped out, weak looking surf.
It’s cold and windy and those showers are stinging and annoying but give it a while and it should all brighten ups and dry up.
The surf will still be junk though!

Today’s Tide Times:

Low Tide:  16:44  (1.8m)              High Tide:  10:13  (6.8m)

Surf Forecast for Saturday 18th January 2020

We are expecting a change today.
Light offshores should be grooming a steady few feet of swell under clear winter skies all day long!
It might feel chilly in the shade but otherwise it should be fabulous!

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

Ooh, we could be in for a good ‘un!
It’s hard to believe after those endless days of wind and rain isn’t it?!
But Saturday should be bright and breezy as high pressure settles over us for a few days, offering clear skies, light winds and still that thick winter swell. It might be a bit nippy in the early mornings and evenings but we can live with that!
We can expect easterly going north easterly breezes all day long as four feet of mid period swell curls its way onto our surf breaks!
The breeze should lighten further through Sunday, staying offshore, more from the north east today so even colder still but clear and sunny too.
With a slightly smaller swell but still keeping its winter strength, we should be enjoying the delights of all of our choice surf breaks all day long today!
Oh, and if your wetsuit isn’t all that it might be, we are having a FLASH SALE in the shop this weekend!
Some wetsuits are £50 off, others (including what we have left of our PATAGONIA suits!!) are HALF-PRICE plus we have loads off all of our other stuff too (technical boots from £25!). So if you are around this weekend then drop in on us for a bargain winter warmer!
Have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
