Surf Report for Holiday Sunday 27th August 2017

At 6.10 a.m:

Constantine (1*):  0 to 1 foot

A beautiful, clear and sunny morning is spreading its cheer along the coastline on this Bank Holiday Sunday morning!
The breeze is light, the skies are clear, the beaches are empty and there’s even a little wave to glide across!
A foot or very occasionally two of shimmering glass swell lines are peaking and folding themselves into smooth little waves. It looks like longboard heaven out there this morning and so I guess that it’s going to get busy, busy, busy!

Harlyn (0*):  Flat

Harlyn is looking gorgeous this morning but with no waves to ride at all!
Which is good news for the ‘Great Atlantic Raft Race’ in aid of the Harlyn Surf Life Saving Club. It all starts at 10 with the race kicking off at 3!
But for the surfers, well it’s the other side again today and it is only tiny over there!

Today’s Tide Times:

Low Tide:  15:59  (1.7m)              High Tide:  09:41  (6.6m)

Surf Forecast for Bank Holiday Monday 28th August 2017

And the weather is looking fabulous again for today but with hardly any surf.
We might be able to find a little peak on the rising tide at the most exposed ‘swell magnet’ surf breaks but even then it is going to be a shin high longboard glide at best!

Surf Conditions for the August Bank holiday Weekend

And it’s looking promising for the big one!
The grand finale to this short lived and very mixed surf season (one that might not be remembered when it comes to surf records or weather records) is upon us with the August Bank Holiday weekend threatening to finally deliver some bright sunshine, settled weather and small but fun surf.
A foot or two of fun surf is expected to find its way onto our favourite surf breaks locally, those light breezes adding a little sloppy effect to it all but also providing some fun little ramps for the more nimble to boost their air shows from too!
So a bit of a lazy kind of surf weekend is expected with cleaner conditions early and late each day, that hullabaloo of a bank holiday weekend at the beach entertaining us through the afternoons!
Have a great bank holiday weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
