Constantine (3*):  2 to 3 feet

The sun is happily shoulder barging its way through some dark and heavily rain-laden cloud bundles out in the bay this morning while that same sou’ westerly wind continues to blow more slightly milder but still damp air our way.
There’s a rolling four to five feet of grey surf filling the bays, that onshore wind slopping out what looks like an otherwise fun swell.
Harlyn should be the place again today!

Harlyn (3*):  3 feet

The dropping tide is having its effect on the waves at Harlyn this morning, the south westerly wind gusting offshore, trying to help shape the three feet and bigger of current-torn surf but resulting in more close-outs and back-offs than peeling beauties.
But otherwise the bay is peaceful, basking in early morning birdsong.
And those waves will improve as the tide sorts itself out, hopefully ending up being another fun day of surf at Harlyn!

Surf Forecast for Tuesday 11th May 2021

We might just be enjoying some pleasantly clean and powerful surf in the morning as a blip in the isobars results in a few hours of south easterly winds – offshore at our favourite surf breaks.
Three to four feet of lumpy swell is set to continue to roll our way and so it’s a shame that the wind will quickly switch onshore again during early afternoon.

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

South westerly winds are set to continue to bother and fuss their way into our bays and coves for most of this week, a new low pressure system arriving as the previous one departs.
But at least that wind will blow some swell our way!
So the week will start out with Harlyn providing the entertainment, a decent three feet plus of strong enough swell swinging its way into the bay for a few days at least.
The tides will play a big part in when is best to get in, those big tides of the weekend only slowly shrinking in height and so losing that rippy effect that the big dropping tides were having.
The wind should ease in strength towards the end of the week, a light northerly breeze replacing that warmer wind by Thursday maybe, going north westerly for week’s end.
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
