Constantine (2*):  3 to 4 feet.

It’s a damp and breezy, blustery old morning with a brisk southerly wind scuttling across the bay and a thick blanket of low could threatening more downpours.
And so the surf is a mixed up mess of toppling waves, three to four feet tall and all thick and lumpy. It is a bit of a mess out there and the weather isn’t all that either!
But that wind will eventually ease in strength and should twitch a degree or two to the east and that will change everything!
In the meantime, let’s see if Harlyn is big enough……

Harlyn (2*):  1 foot.

A foot or very occasionally two of pristine little waves are snapping at the sand, hollowing themselves out as they spin into the shallows.
It is very pretty even on dank and dreary, windblown morning like this. And you have to think that it might get just a bit bigger as the tide pushes in, even on this very small moving, low neap tide.
It’s small but looks like fun!

Surf Forecast for Tuesday 13th September 2016

While the rest of the country is likely to be basking in record setting temperatures, we are probably going to be enjoying a chillier northerly air stream!
Those onshore winds are likely to stay with us all day keeping temperatures down while messing up the surf too!
A solid three to four foot swell is likely to continue to pulse ashore but that wind is going to have a chopping and slopping effect on it all!

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

A solid little four foot swell should be kicking this week off in some style, the wind maybe frustrating us a little locally on Monday by refusing to twitch that extra degree or two that would make all the difference. Well, until later that is.
By evening we should be enjoying some smooth and thick, peeling waves at all of our preferred surf spots!
And then the wind should settle and ease as the week goes on with light offshores grooming those rhythmically pulsing swell lines all the way through.
Those September Sessions are here at last!
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
