It’s a beautiful day!
A pale blue, cloudless sky is covering the shiniest of deep blue seas this morning, the breeze non-existent (yet), the cool sand bristling gold.
The surf has dropped again, barely a foot of oil smooth peaks of glass are toppling beachwards, spilling silver walls of glass as they peel. It is frustratingly tiny, not quite flat but not quite big enough to let fly on either.
The wind is likely to increase in strength as the day warms up, a fresh offshore (south easterly) blowing the surf almost flat. Wax down the longboards to get the best out of today!
But it is a fabulously gorgeous day weatherwise!

It’s flat around here this morning, silken smooth, crystal clear and delightfully glassy but waveless!
It is an SUP paradise here this morning!

Surf Forecast for Tuesday 16th August 2016

A light south easterly, offshore wind is likely top groom and smooth and shape and mould a growing swell.
We might have to wait for the incoming afternoon tide to see some waves fighting hard enough against that wind to attract our attention but the swell should build and strengthen as the day goes on and the wind eases off in the evening.
We could see some really very pleasant surf before bedtime!

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

We should be enjoying a long awaited but no less fabulous start to this week, the sun set to shine, the breeze set light and offshore, the surf small but perfectly formed.
Tiny conditions might frustrate the grumpier and less nimble on Monday but the weather and deliciously shaped little waves should make up for any lack in size, while Tuesday should start to deliver some much more rideable surf. A couple to three feet offshore shaped and peeling little surf should glint and glisten all day long on Tuesday in the beautiful summer light of cloudless skies.
Make the most of these beautiful conditions though, they won’t last forever! Midweek will see some bigger and still gorgeously shaped surf but the breeze is likely to kick back onshore as we go through the back half of the week, with some much bigger surf promised for the weekend!
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
