Well, we had hoped for some extra surf by today but it seems that it is not to be, not yet!
It is pretty tiny down in the bay this morning, well, when I say tiny, I mean flat. There is the odd ripple that ypou could almost ride slipping in off the Point but otherwise there’s nothing going on this morning.
Our best hope of something to surf on is when those ripples meet a shallow bank to trip them up but even then they will be tiny gliders at best.
The weather isn’t all that either. There are some bright bits around but there’s a dark old bank of cloud out at sea full of dampness by the look of it!
But the air is mild and there’s hardly a breeze and so it’s not an uncomfortable morning. Let’s wait and see whether it will clear up and whether there might be a rideable wave later.

In the meantime it’s a good time to check out those boards and leashes and wetsuits, looking for all those nicks and dents and scratches and gouges.
It might be the time for an upgrade or just a timely repair.
And of course we have all those little bits ‘n bobs that you might need. Those fin screws as well as fins, Black Witch for wetsuit repairs, ding repair kits for your boards, leashes, wax and a Pickle to help get that grimy old wax off!
Or if you’re thinking of a new sled for Summer, we have Channel Island, …Lost, Haydenshapes, Webber, Sol Life, Beach Beat and Hawaiian Soul as well as others! It could just be time for the next step board that you have been promising yourself!
And if you’re feeling a little styleless while you’re there then how a bout a new wardrobe?
Yeah, we have the threads, T’s from Reef, Lost, Captain Fin Co, Brixton, Vans and….. wending their way across the oceans of the world, we have a brand new brand on their way! Hopefully within a few days we will have the finest of the newest of ranges to hit the surf world!
So, we have Ts, we have boardies and walk shorts, we have caps and shoes and flip flops too.
And for the ladies, have you checked out Draw in light? Google it. All hand printed, hand crafted and original at a lesser price than the fabulous boutiques of the rest of the world!
So, drop in on us this holiday weekend and treat yourself to a little upgrade in your surfing equipment!

No, it is flat around here as well this morning, glassy and smooth and delightful with a shadow of a rainbow hanging over it but there’s no surf to ride!

Surf Forecast for Tuesday 27th May 2014

Well hopefully it might be brighter today and drier too. When the sky s clear we are likely to be in for some seriously pleasant weather but there will still be the chance of some heavy showers out there!
The surf? Nah, shin high at best.

Surf Conditions the Start of the Week

The surf has temporarily disappeared at the same time that the weather has reverted to type this holiday weekend.
The ‘mixed’ weather seems to be very slowly disappearing and we should start to see more and more brightness and fewer showers as we go along with nice enough weather forecast for midweek.
The surf forecasts might just be right though.
We are lucky here in that it rarely goes that flat for very long but those little waves have completely disappeared, hopefully only for a wee while.
It’s not going to be great for surf just yet, there will be some slightly bigger and just about rideable stuff coming through for midweek but the wind is likely to drift in onshore just as the weather brightens.
So a foot or two of sloppy surf is the most that we can expect for a few days yet but at least some of that should be in bright and cheerful sunshine.
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
