Constantine (1*):  1 foot

A lighter breeze is gently carrying bundles of cream and grey, golden laced layers of cloud across the sky this morning, still just a bit nippy but nothing like it has been and probably will be in a day or two again.
The waves are a little woesome as well with a foot or so of weak and crumbly little waves trickling onto the sand, the breeze lighter but still strong enough to make it sloppy.
But give it a few hours for the tide to sort itself out and we might just see something better on this afternoon’s incoming. It’s likely to stay small but we might just get a glide or two in on the rising tide!

Harlyn (0*):  0 to 1 foot

The surf is tiny here again this morning with that north westerly breeze still gusting onshore, toppling the six inches or so of tired looking wash.
Nope it’s not happening here today in any way shape or form!

Surf Forecast for Tuesday 5th December 2017

A light south westerly is forecast to breeze through today, still onshore at our main breaks but more swell supporting, hopefully lined up better and cleaner at the sheltered breaks if it gets big enough.
But it is likely to be not very big at all today, a foot or two at best although it could just start to build a little on the afternoon tide. Whether it will get big enough for Harlyn to be rideable, well we’ll just have to wait and see!

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

This week is likely to start out with that same old northerly wind gnawing away at our chilly bits but at least it should be no more than a breeze through Monday.
And then a south westerly should kick in through Tuesday, still onshore at the main breaks but at least giving Harlyn and one or two other places the chance for some clean little waves – if there’s enough swell to get into those sheltered spots. And it might be Wednesday before that happens!
In the meantime though the air should be milder, if a little damper.
And then it’s back to what seems to be becoming normal these days, a brisk (and cold!) north westerly junking out the surf through the back half of the week.
Ah well, it will eventually get good and will feel all the better for it when it finally kicks in!
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
