At 7.00 a.m:
Constantine (0*): Flat.
It’s a warm and deliciously cosy start to the day, a blanket of dull cloud snuggling over us, the thermometer well into the mid teens celsius and with barely a breath of a breeze.
But the surf is flattity, flat, flat, flat.
There’s barely a ripple of energy washing ashore this morning as Constantine puts on its finest calm Caribbean imitation.
And it is beautiful – but it would be better with some surf!
Harlyn (0*): Flat.
Ah, it’s flat here too this morning, that vast smoothness stretching to the horizon and beyond.
A silver/blue sheet of motionless ocean, tranquil in the early morning light, is beckoning SUPers and swimmers and kayakers and paddlers and water users of all kinds.
But not surfers!

Surf Forecast for Tuesday 10th May 2016
The wind should be calm today, those light, light breezes drifting in from the south east, offshore again and smoothing the already calm ocean.
We could see some clear sunshine for a lot of the time but there could also be those patches of low cloud, which, if they land on top of you, could take all day to clear!
I’m still hoping that there will be a momentary longboard glide available just at that moment when the tide pushes something bigger than a ripple onto a sandbar. But it might not happen!
Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week
A fairly settled week lies ahead with mainly light breezes drifting around us but with only small, small swells washing our way.
The weather should improve quickly with a return to that lovely spring brightness after a slow start to Monday and Tuesday.
The surf looks like it might not get any bigger than a foot or two for most of the week though, the tidal push giving most optimism for some longboard dancing. But when it gets like this there are sometimes those shallow sandbar moments of small wave magic that sometimes pop up unexpectedly. There could just be a few of those this week.
But you are going to have to be watching it carefully to get the best of it!
