Constantine (1*):  4 feet

A brisk west sou’ westerly is pushing away big lumps of dark and damp cloudbanks this morning but not before a few short, sharp showers have topped up the puddles and muddy pools.
The wind has eased overnight but is still fresh enough to trash the three to four feet of bumbling surf as it tumbles into the bay with no direction, no shape and no power.
But the sky is brightening quickly and the wind is easing, this afternoon’s tide should bring some fun-in-the-sun for most of us!

Harlyn (3*):  3 feet

A sloppy two to three feet of bumpy surf is trying its best at Harlyn this morning but the wind is gusting a little too westerly to allow it to be as good as we hoped.
The forecast is showing that wind to ease its way a little more to the south though and that should sharpen everything up dramatically. Throw in an expected small increase in wave size on this afternoon’s tide and we can look forward to some pleasant and exciting, fun surf this afternoon!

Surf Forecast for Sunday 18th August 2019

Neat and tidy surf conditions at Harlyn along with bright enough weather should entertain the mid-August hordes with the option of bumpier and slightly more testing conditions for a few at the more west facing surf breaks.
So, a bright and breezy, surfy Sunday awaits!

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

A short, sharp low pressure system is expected to drive its way up the north Atlantic this weekend, providing strong winds, plenty of rainfall and some thick and heavy wind swells for us to play in!
Harlyn, as always, is going to be the ‘go to’ destination this weekend, those south westerly winds blowing hard and offshore, hollowing and holding those same swells that the wind has driven across the ocean.
Three to four feet of sand sucking, shallow and hollow surf will be testing your reflexes all weekend long as those heavy cloud banks get blown away, allowing some bright and cheery sunshine to make it all look that little bit better than it might actually be too!
Have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
