Constantine (2*):  2 to 3 feet

Those seagulls are making themselves heard on an otherwise peaceful and still, calm August morning.
Although the sky is still thickly overcast there are streaks of blue amongst the dreary greys and whites and the air temperature is mild enough to allow you take your time.
And there are waves.
They are still only small waves but they’re a half decent couple of feet with the odd bigger one curling into the southerly breeze.
It could all be a bit of fun as the tide eases out and makes things a little sharper while the sky clears and the sun eventually shines.
Well, that’s the plan anyway!

Harlyn (1*):  0 to 1 foot

Harlyn is quiet this morning, leaden clouds hanging low over the bay reflecting off the almost smooth ocean. Tiny waves are shuffling onto the high tide bank, almost rideable, well, on a longboard anyway.
It’s the other side of the headland for surf today but if you’re stuck here today then it might be worth dragging the longboard out for a glassy ripple or two!

Surf Forecast for Sunday 22nd August 2021

We should be enjoying a little more sunshine today, well, maybe a lot more sunshine but that breeze is likely to be from the north west, just chilling those air temperatures.
But we’ll probably glide and slide across some fun three foot surf in the sunshine this afternoon if we’re lucky!

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

Light onshore breezes are going to crumble and slop the small surf this weekend but we should see some warmer temperatures and hopefully enough sunshine to keep our happy holidaymakers content.
Westerly winds are going to push a couple of feet or so of fairly weak and uninspiring but rideable and probably more fun than expected surf onto our beaches.
To get the most out of it we are going to have to get in at the right place and at just the right time of tide.
The breeze will have shifted to the north west by Sunday, a bit chillier and not very good for that still small but bigger than it has been surf either. But with just a little luck and good timing we should be able to drop in to a half decent session on the incoming tide on Sunday afternoon.
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
