Constantine (0*):  8 to 10 feet

The beach is deserted again this morning, the howling onshore sou’ westerly wind and driving rain keeping the half-term holidaymakers away maybe. But it is quite nice too in an odd kind of way, the wild weather and huge waves offering enough to interest and excite, as long as you’re wrapped and waterproofed and ready to roll.
Those waves are huge and windswept and out of control, so you’re not going to be surfing here today – that’s for sure!

Harlyn (2*):  6 to 8 feet

Solid set waves are thumping through at Harlyn this morning, the wind holding those grey walls even higher before they curl and crash and thump onto the sand.
It’s big and windy and heavy and hollow.
So if you are even thinking of paddling out here this morning then you need to know that you are completely comfortable in these conditions. And it’s still going to hurt even if you are!
But then again, there are some grinding right-handers to tempt!

Surf Forecast for Sunday 23rd February 2020

These howling westerly and south westerly winds are likely to slowly ease up through this afternoon, that raging sea gradually calming too.
If you’re really, really keen then you just might get a brief dusk session in big and thick and chunky waves. You might want to make sure that you are very much up to it first though!

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

Harlyn is likely to be the venue of choice for this weekend’s surfing activities with more strong west sou’ westerly winds forecast for the entire weekend and beyond.
So with a six to eight foot groundswell being added to by an angry and blustering windswell too, we are likely to see big waves smashing our already battered stretch of coastline all week long and well into next weekend.
Big and booming, close-out barrels are expected on the morning dropping tides at Harlyn, the pushing afternoon tides showing some extra size and oomph as well as hopefully a little more shape too.
It could be really quite good this weekend, especially if you ate fleet of foot and quick limbed too! But you are still likely to run the risk of breaking that magic board!
Luckily we have a really good surf shop at Constantine Bay that has a surfboard sale going on at the moment!
Have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you are doing!
