Constantine (1*):  4 to 5 feet

The wind might have eased but the rain is still torrential this morning, those heavy deluges washing down the pre-season beaches and walkways.
And that wind hasn’t completely disappeared, there’s still an annoying nor’ wester blustering down the coast, slopping and crumbling the surf on its way.
So, things to do on another wet ‘n windy one?

Harlyn (2*):  2 to 3 feet

Harlyn is all dark and broody this morning, that cold north westerly wind fussing its way into the bay and crumbling two to three feet of already weak and sloppy little surf while heavy rain squalls sweep across an otherwise deserted beach.
You might want your foul weather gear if you’re thinking of wandering out and about today.

Surf Forecast for Sunday 23rd May 2021

We can expect another mainly wet ‘n windy one today, maybe not quite as wet but every bit as blowy as it has been the last few days. The wind should be from the south west through the morning though so at least there’s a chance of some half decent surf at Harlyn.
It’s looking like one of those rainy Sunday Harlyn days with a three foot plus swell to give us cause to surf.
Maybe.

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

A breezy weekend is waiting for us this weekend as that wintery low pressure system spins itself away.
The wind is likely to be blustering down from the north west through Saturday, carrying some fresher and clearer air with it but keeping temperatures lower than we expect at this time of year. It will also ruin the surf at all of our local surf breaks making for sloppy and choppy conditions everywhere.
By Sunday we should be enjoying more sou’ westerly winds as they blow damper but milder air our way, cleaning up the surf at those more northerly facing surf breaks like Harlyn.
We can expect a fun day of surfing at Harlyn all day long, the swell being blown along by that same wind and building through Sunday and into the start of next week.
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
