Constantine (2*):  1 to 2 ft

At 6.35 a.m.

Another grey and fairly sullen morning is upon us, a calm and fairly muggy feeling kind of start to the day with small and glassy little waves breaking into the bay.
There’s a gaggle of Kayakers having some early morning fun down there, catching a few fast looking one to two foot walls of peeling glass.
With the forecasts predicting offshore breezes throughout the day and a build in the swell (although not really until this evening), it looks like we should be in for a day of longboard gliding on fun little, clean and well-shaped little waves.
That’ll do to kick off a holiday weekend!

It is pretty much flat again around here this morning, tiny, tiny ripples shooting across the sand on a calm and still, silver morning.
It’s not the place to come for a surf today but, as always, it is a pleasant place to linger a while.

Surf Forecast for Sunday 4th May 2014

Light winds are being forecast along with a well travelled 3 foot swell.
The wind should mainly breeze in from the south sou’ west, its direction improving for wave shape through the late afternoon incoming tide.
But it should all be quite good throughout the day really, even the weather will eventually decide to brighten up, maybe not until later but it should happen.
So, more fun surf to be ridden in clean and fun conditions!

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

We should just about hang on to those small swells as the holiday weekend slides towards us, a couple of feet of smoothly lined up, ten secondish wave-period stuff, lightly slopped by the varying breezes but generally that fun and cruisy kind of surf, the sort of stuff that you often enjoy without realising it.
And the weekend is now looking good with expected offshores for most of the time, mainly light, just enough strength to groom that anticipated small but very surfable little swell all the way through the holiday weekend.
In fact the weekend is looking like a mainly bright and cheerful one with very pleasant little waves!
Have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
