Constantine (1*):  2 to 3 feet

It’s a grey and rainy, deeply overcast and fairly miserable old morning on the north cornish coast today, the light wind mildly drifting in from the south west and so at least making it feel a little warmer than it might be.
And the surf isn’t great either, a couple of feet of sloppy and choppy, fumbling surf can just about be seen through the murk, lazily wandering to the shore.
It could be a day for other things!
After saying that though, there are rideable little sloppy waves and if it was summer we would be all over it!

Harlyn (1*):  0 to 1 foot

It’s almost flat around here this morning, those tiny little waves barely visible through the murk and rainfall of a wet and breezy Saturday morning in mid January.
There are many better things to do than attempt to surf around here this morning but give it a few hours and there might just be a little more to play in.

Surf Forecast for Sunday 8th January 2017

We should enjoy a brighter day today with only very light breezes. But other than that, well, the breeze is likely to be from the north west, onshore and chilly, while the surf is likely to be really small, at best!
We might just get a longboard glide in the corner but that’s about as much as we can hope for!

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

The winds should blow side to offshore at Harlyn as we go into the weekend, swinging much more onshore there but easing in strength a lot by Sunday.
Two to three feet of lazy little surf should greet us on Saturday morning, maybe building just a little through midday and getting glassier through the afternoon as the wind eases.
By Sunday we should be enjoying light breezes, mainly onshore from the north west but maybe light enough to enjoy the west side breaks. The breeze is likely to drift to the south west by the afternoon, cleaning up Harlyn, if there’s enough swell getting in there.
So, overall it should be a fun winter weekend in the surf with some okay waves to ride and fairly mild air temperatures. And we should see a little sunshine by Sunday if we’re lucky too!
Have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
