There’s no escaping the chill bite of Autumn on this otherwise calm and only lightly overcast Halloween morning. The air is still, the lightest of breezes drifting in from the south west and the silver sky is backlit by a promising dawn.
But the surf is pretty much flat.
The odd six inch to one foot little dribbler is peaking over the shallows, prettily shaped and peeling but so, so very small. And with not much out there to produce anything bigger.
It might be worth dragging a longboard down there for a lunchtime paddle just ahead of high tide but don’t expect much more than the odd shin-high glider!

Barely a ripple of swell is unsettling the mirror smooth surface of the Atlantic on this calm and peaceful, silver skied morning.
It’s not the place to come to for a surf today but it is magically peaceful and serene!

Surf Forecast for Wednesday 1st November 2017

Tiny waves and immaculate conditions should be waiting for us today.
There’s nothing much out in the Atlantic to generate any swell yet and so there are just tiny little waves washing in, probably a foot at most.
Which is a shame as the breeze is forecast to be offshore and we should see some pleasant Autumn sunshine too!

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

As a weak high-pressure system nudges over us we might just enjoy a calm and pleasant start to this week.
Offshore breezes and some sharp and clear sunshine are going to be just a little bit wasted on the only small surf through Monday, barely a foot or so of immaculately peeling little surf teasing its way into the week.
The wind is likely to switch more to the south for Tuesday, helping to push just a little more swell our way but also making for more crumbly and slightly sloppier conditions.
And then we are likely to be enjoying light offshores through the back half of the week, the weather being a little dull maybe but with those small waves offering some gliding heaven to the longboard sliders and small wave dancers who have the time!
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
