Another gorgeous day is unfolding about us this morning, the breeze is light and offshore, drifting in from the east south east, the sky is a hazy pale blue and the surf is pumping!
Four to five feet of glassy, peaky and curling blue waves are rolling beachwards, held up tall, even with the tide too high, before peeling across the bay.
Give it a few hours and it should be a surfing-shangri-la!
Saying that, yesterday was quite rippy here and those waves were thicker than the rip wanted them to be. I think that the winter storms shaken sand needs to settle a wee bit before we start to see these breaks firing as we all know they can in these conditions.
And so there are probably way better breaks to surf than here right now!

A couple of feet of clean, blue waves are rocking the high tide sand this morning, those gentle peelers lining up off the Rock before zipping to the sand.
The other side of the headland is way better and is the place to be today with some really clean and chunky surf over there but there are little waves over here if Harlyn is your preferred spot!

Surf Forecast for Monday 14th March 2016

I could live with these conditions forever, those light offshore breezes drifting into a three to four foot, well travelled little swell beneath skies of pale, pale blue.
The temperatures are cold enough to keep the line-ups quietly cosy but are still quite comfortable to surf in (with a decent wetsuit!).
And on it goes!
Another day of three foot, clean and offshore sculpted surf awaits, those huge tides gradually pulling back, the mornings and evenings suddenly feeling brighter.
Has Spring sprung?

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

You might need to sit down and relax while reading this forecast for the coming week – maybe a nice cup of tea will lessen the panic attacks too.
Yes, it looks like a surf-filled week with light offshore breezes and clear, sunny skies!
I know, it is impossible.
Three days of clean and peeling, decent and chunky surf, continuing into four, five days and yes a full week of bright and cheerful reeling waves!
Ah well, those chores can wait, this week is looking pretty exceptional.
Or maybe I’m just over excited following months of onshore, sloppy surf!
So anyway; Monday should be three feet and offshore and sunny, getting bigger later.
Tuesday should be four feet, offshore and sunny, easing off just a little later.
Wednesday should be two feet, offshore and sunny with maybe little more cloud around.
And then a new swell should arrive while the sun sharpens up and the wind almost completely disappears through the back half of the week!
Have a fabulous week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
