If you’re snuggled up all warm and cosy next to a loved one this morning, I would stay there! It is hideous outside!
That steady pitter patter of rain on the window pane (or van roof, or canvas, depending on where you are!) is all very cosy, until you’re out in it.
A steady downpour of rain is filling the drains and soakaways along the lanes, the wind gusting in hard from the south south east, the sky as dark as Mordor.
The surf?  Flat right now.
Saying all that, if you’re wrapped up the right way it is, as always, kind of cosy out in all that rain and wind!
But give it an hour or two and then another and it will be pushing in and pushing in.
We should be surfing Harlyn in the sunshine by this evening and it should be solid enough!
I know, it is difficult to believe.
In the meantime, breakfast in bed?

The surf is as flat as flat can be around here right now, the rain sluicing along the sand and slating across the bay.
Those mini-ripples are turquoise grey as they smash ashore.
Give it a few hours though and it should be rideable here, give it another few hours and it should be pumping!
And sunny too.
Ya reckon?

Surf Forecast for Monday 27th July 2015

That strong westerly wind of winter is going to continue to drive more rain our way as well as a chunky four to five foot swell too!  So it’s going to be a Harlyn kind of day today with thick and lumpy, windswept four foot plus waves grinding into the bay all day long. Get ready for some sandy drubbings, cos you’re going to get some!

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

Big and windy, wet and even stormy conditions are going to start this week off!
It might be the end of July but we are in for some wintery surf conditions with a thick and wind driven, lumpy swell rolling all along the coast.
Those strong westerly winds are going to take us well into the middle of the week when they then look like they will slip to the north west, onshore everywhere.
But in the meantime it’s going to be Harlyn all the way! Three to four to five feet of solid and churning surf with strong offshore to sideshore winds are on the schedule with plenty of rain and not much brightness!
Don’t you just love the summer holidays!?
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
