Constantine (1*): 0 to 1 foot
Ribbons of silver cloud streams are draped across the bay this morning, the air still and the sea smooth.
But in amongst that silver blue smoothness the odd little wave is folding itself over and peeling across that bank just off the rip.
It is titchy and tiny and teeny weeny but it is just about rideable, all glinting and glistening in the early morning light.
Wax up the longboard again, it’s looking like a day of tiny wave gliding coming up!
Harlyn (0*): Flat
Harlyn has a moody atmosphere going on this morning, that dark silver sea somehow managing to look a little grumpy in the early morning light, a small wash teasing on the shoreline but otherwise completely waveless.
The surf is flat again at Harlyn this morning!

Surf Forecast for Monday 8th July 2019
On we go with these summer conditions!
We can only hope for tiny waves at best again today, knee high to waist high causing some excitement in those light breezes and some bright sunshine.
Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week
Light, light breezes and bright, bright sunshine should continue to cheer our visitors again this week, magnificent sunsets and lazy warm days eating up the days while the surf languishes in these calm, calm conditions.
Although we should enjoy more surfable conditions than the last few days, at least if you have a longboard available or a Softec or something similar.
Small swell lines are likely to tease their way into the bays throughout the week, one to two foot waves peaking and peeling across the banks and reefs at those moments when the tides allow. And the breezes are likely to drift more offshore through midweek, allowing those little waves to stand taller than normal making them even more attractive.
So, we can look forward to another week of lazy, summer days with some tiny surf to drift around on.
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!

Early Next Week:
‘A couple of small low pressure zones may head our way – meaning an end to the warm Summery days and possibly some rain. As for the surf, the lows aren’t that low and the ‘fetch’ isn’t long so don’t expect much, but it should bring some small choppy but hopefully fun waves our way.’
The scale for measuring conditions:
0-1ft – Unridable/Flat
1-2ft – Kneehigh
3ft – Waisthigh
4-5ft – Chest/Shoulderhigh
6ft – Headhigh
6-8ft = 1-1.5x Overhead
8-10ft = 1.5x Overhead
10-12ft = 2x Overhead
Please Note!
Wave height predictions are based on the larger breaks on both coasts such as Fistral and Croyde for the North, and Praa Sands and Bantham for the South.
Wave height is measured from the front of the wave, and 6ft would usually mean a ‘head-high’ wave.
Try and use some ‘local’ knowledge about what the wave sizes will be elsewhere. For example the Newquay Bay area is generally 1/3 to 3/4 the size of Fistral, increasing the further up the bay you go from Towan to Lusty Glaze, and that it will be clean on a W wind at ‘harbour left’ at Towan at mid-tide’ for example.
Tide times are based on Newquay.
Stay Stoked!
