The wind has quietened a little this morning, slipping away from that annoying and chilly northerly direction too and so there’s a much milder easterly wind blowing across the bay right now. And there’s a little front out there too, you can almost see it, that wall of dark cloud providing a strong backdrop to the flat but otherwise staggeringly beautiful sea this morning.
Greens and turquoise are mixing this morning in that otherwise clear, clear sea.
But for all that the surf is still flat! A swimming pool flatness of beautiful colours.
SUP anyone?

The early morning birdsong is just adding to the spectacular beauty of the bay this morning, that golden sand neutralising the otherwise vivid and startling colours of the ocean.
There’s no surf here today but there are a hundred other things to do in such a beautiful place, one of which could be to just be here and enjoy the view!

Surf Forecast for Friday 12th June 2015

Another day of flatness beckons, a warmer day with the breeze swinging back and fore from easterly to south westerly to north westerly by evening.
But the wind should stay light at least allowing a SUP session or two instead of a surf session. And the water is so clear and beautiful that SUP sessions are worthwhile.
Either way, we’re not going to be surfing today!

Surf Conditions for the End of the Week

We seem to have entered a bit of a doldrums period this week, the edge of that high pressure just about over us creating those chilling winds and helping to keep the surf flat. And it looks like it will be Friday before the wind changes.
But change it will and inevitably, as the wind slips to the south west, a warmer but damper direction, the weather will become more unsettled.
The surf still isn’t looking all that promising either, although that wind should at least push a little windslop our way for the weekend.
So, a a day or two of flatness has still to be endured before we enjoy some weak and sloppy waves to play in.
And it could be well into next week before we see something better to surf too!
Have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
