Constantine (0*):  4 to 5 feet

The wind is howling across the bay flinging sheets of rain along the shoreline this morning, the dog walkers crouching into the wind, the dogs loving life.
That wind is almost offshore, almost but not quite. And so the waves that are managing to lump their way ashore are just a series of biggish but shorter peaks flopping randomly into the shallows.
It looks like a long paddle for not much reward this morning, especially when you just know that there are those other spots that will be lighting up this morning!

Harlyn (3*):  3 feet

The wind is storming straight offshore at Harlyn this morning, blasting into the three to four foot waves and holding them tall until well past their tipping point.
High tide is having its calming effect on those waves but we’ll be seeing some more cavernous barrels shooting across the bay as the tide drops out.
Yep, it’s promising to be another typical sand blast of a winter’s day at Harlyn again today!

Today’s Tide Times:

Low Tide:  15:50  (1.5m)              High Tide:  09:21  (7.1m)

Surf Forecast for Friday 17th January 2020

Brisk onshore winds are going to continue to stir and chop thick and lumpy four to six foot swells all day long today, that wind easing from north westerly to westerly as we go along.
There should be brighter bits of the day than there has been but heavy and long lasting downpours won’t be too far away either.

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

Ooh, we could be in for a good ‘un!
It’s hard to believe after those endless days of wind and rain isn’t it?!
But Saturday should be bright and breezy as high pressure settles over us for a few days, offering clear skies, light winds and still that thick winter swell. It might be a bit nippy in the early mornings and evenings but we can live with that!
We can expect easterly going north easterly breezes all day long as four feet of mid period swell curls its way onto our surf breaks!
The breeze should lighten further through Sunday, staying offshore, more from the north east today so even colder still but clear and sunny too.
With a slightly smaller swell but still keeping its winter strength, we should be enjoying the delights of all of our choice surf breaks all day long today!
Oh, and if your wetsuit isn’t all that it might be, we are having a FLASH SALE in the shop this weekend!
Some wetsuits are £50 off, others (including what we have left of our PATAGONIA suits!!) are HALF-PRICE plus we have loads off all of our other stuff too (technical boots from £25!). So if you are around this weekend then drop in on us for a bargain winter warmer!
Have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
