It’s a grey and breezy start to the day with a brisk south westerly wind scurrying across the bay and dark clouds lurking not too far away.
The surf is a mixed up and messy three feet or so with some bigger sets wandering through in their own time.
If it was summer we would be all over it but even with the mildest water temperatures that I have ever known for this time of year, it is still pretty chilly out there, especially with a bit of a wind blowing.
Let’s have a little look around at Harlyn…..

We are just planning a bit of an EASTER special SALE to run through the holiday weekend.
It has been a mild Winter and so we still have some winter stock taking up space, while all that lovely new Summer stock is arriving!

Harlyn (3*):  3 feet.

It’s looking good around here this morning, smallish but clean and tempting!
There’s three feet or so of steady swell getting into the bay, the wind offshore and the tide on the drop. And so some pleasant little three foot walls are lining up off the Rock, a lot of them closing out, as they do here but occasionally there are those ones that are walling and peeling.
This afternoon’s tide should add a little push to it all as well, the wind forecast to remain offshore here, the swell increasing a little too.
Yep, it looks like a proper Harlyn day!

Surf Forecast for Friday 25th March 2016

A four foot swell should be rolling our way all day long but the wind is likely to be onshore for most of the time.
Whether it will be big enough to trigger those south coast surf spots, well we will have to wait and see!
That wind should lighten through the day though and so there might be some cleaner conditions to surf on this coast during early afternoon.
And the weather should be bright enough and pleasant enough to keep most of us happy on this Good Friday!

Surf Conditions for Easter Weekend

All eyes are on the Atlantic weather charts in anticipation of the Easter holiday this coming weekend.
And it is looking interesting from a surfing point of view!
As the wind swings onshore through midweek more swell is starting to roll our way, slowly to start with but steadily building as the week winds down.
Those very light north westerly winds of midweek have quickly been replaced by gusting south westerlies, due to veer back to northerly through Friday but easing to a light, light breeze as it does so, before surging back to the south west for the holiday weekend.
So the surf should build, quickly offering enough size to get Harlyn to show off through Thursday.
And it is looking very much like a Harlyn weekend with a brisk sou’ wester blustering in and pushing in a building four to five to six foot swell ahead of it, getting bigger by Easter Sunday.
We should be enjoying some pleasant and bright enough weather and fairly clean surf on Good Friday before more blustery and maybe a bit showery conditions hit us for the weekend.
Big spreads of sunshine are expected as well as those cloudy bits too, as growing swells start to boom into Harlyn through Saturday and into Easter Sunday and Monday.
Yep, it’s looking mainly okay for everyone this holiday weekend!
Have a great week and weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
