Constantine (0*):  4 to 6 feet

The wind has backed a few degrees to the north this morning, almost blowing north north easterly and so it is very, very cold.
But the skies are clearer than they have been and so at least it looks a little more promising. And the surf is like that too, full of promise but not quite doing it.
That wind is blowing hard into four feet or so of high tide fattened left-handers, hollowing a couple of them out but flattening others.
It’s not great but if you’re at a loose end and have an awesome wetsuit then you’ll get a few fun ones on the dropping tide.

Harlyn (0*):  2 to 3 feet

The northerly wind is chilling its way into Harlyn this morning, junking out the two to three feet of weak looking, rolling surf.
The sky is brighter and so it looks a bit more appealing but it is real cold for a small and junky surf session!

Surf Forecast for Friday 28th February 2020

Sou’ westerly winds will return today bringing milder temperatures but also with more rain.
The swell will build with that wind making Harlyn the ‘go to’ spot locally today. You can expect three to four feet of offshore and hollow, snappy, fun surf today, getting bigger as we go along.

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

We can expect yet another wet and windy weekend filled with big and lumpy, windswept surf this weekend, Harlyn being our best bet for some big and windswept waves to challenge.
Friday’s more fun conditions at Harlyn will intensify as we go into Saturday with well overhead, hollow and grinding surf closing out the bay on many occasions but throwing a few reeling righthand tubes out as well.
The wind will have eased back to a more westerly direction for Sunday making for lumpier conditions at Harlyn.
It should still be big but not as hard breaking maybe nor as hollow as it was on Saturday.
And then, of course, the north westerly winds return for another wet and blustery week to see in March and the start of Spring.
Have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
