Constantine (1*):  4 to 6 feet

Southerly winds are pushing hard into the bays this morning, blowing the tops off five to six foot waves as they crash in hard beneath an orange pink sky.
It feels mild enough but you can feel the threat of heavy rain in the air.
The easier and better surf will be around at Harlyn again today so let’s trot on over there……

Harlyn (4*):  3 to 4 feet

The car park is already bustling at Harlyn this morning, that hard blowing southerly wind pushing offshore against three to four feet of looping and crashing surf.
Locally it’s the place to be again today with some screaming rides to be had, although as always, there are going to be those thick lipped and beach-wide close-outs to deal with too!

Surf Forecast for Friday 29th October 2021

South westerly winds are likely to continue to bluster along our coastline again today, only gradually easing in strength as the day goes on.
And as that low pressure system eases away the swell is going to shrink, dropping to three feet or so by the afternoon. So we’ll be back to deciding whether to tackle some bigger but bumper west side breaks or cruise into some small but clean waves at Harlyn and other more northerly facing breaks.
It is sometimes nice to have a choice though.

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

As the school half-term holidaymakers gradually aim home that sou’ westerly wind is going to continue to bluster into the bays, chopping and slopping the gradually shrinking surf.
We should see some bright and cheery sunshine through Saturday which will at least put a shine on the choice between surfing lumpy and bumpy, three foot surf at our main breaks or smaller but sharper and snappier little waves at Harlyn and other sheltered spots.
The wind is likely to blow harder through Sunday but staying from the south west and so it should blow in some extra swell making Harlyn that little bit more exciting maybe.
So, al in all we should be enjoying a breezy but okay weekend with enough surf to keep everyone happy, especially if you get to the right place at the right time!
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
