It’s a greyer, cooler, damper and muckier kind of morning so far, still pleasant in a wet summer morning kind of way but not quite the settled stuff of last week.
The surf is a couple of feet, bigger here and there as it bounces up in the fairly steady wind but no great shakes really.
This wind seems to be a little more westerly than it has been, which I guess is why it’s that bit duller and damper but that should help the surf to build, if only a little.
Things should brighten up by lunchtime and the surf should carry on rolling in all afternoon.
Yep, it could be a day of two halves today, this afternoon and evening promising much better stuff!

There are tiny little waves rolling in here today, almost rideable, well, almost rideable on a big old plank maybe. But if the wind stays steady and keeps itself to the west or south west then those waves could build a little.
So if Harlyn is your favourite, you might just be able to get a few waves here today But the other side is the place to go really, it’s likely to be a decent couple of feet plus over there all day.

Today’s Tide Times:

Surf Forecast for Friday 1st August 2014

More windblown and bumpy surf is expected today, a couple of feet of south westerly blown surf under some gloomy skies is probably the best that we can hope for.  But with that warm water temperature tempting yo in and enough waves to get your surfboard rocking, you will probably have a little more fun than you were expecting!

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

It looks like we’re in for a cooler and cloudier stretch of weather as this week winds down, the surf continuing to be a bit mixed up and a bit slushy.
Well that’s the met office view anyway.
The reality is probably going to be just a bit duller than it has been with the odd bit of dampness in the air, that low pressure system that was heading our way now choosing a different track and probably veering to the side of us, just brushing a little dampness our way but nothing too annoying.
There are a few fronts that are likely to bounce over us through the back half of the week and that will mix the weather up but should also push some mixed up and mainly small surf our way.
So, we are looking at a couple of feet of mixed up and mainly summer surf as the week winds down, the weather brightening up again for the weekend but the surf staying pretty much the same throughout at a couple of feet and a bit sloppy.
Have great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
