Constantine (2*):  1 to 2 feet

A light breeze from the south is quickly becoming a bit of a blow from the south west this morning, a fine spray of steady rain brushing across the bays.
The surf is still tiny right now, a foot or two at best, of short, peaky stuff folding onto the sand.
Give it a few hours though and we’ll be seeing a decent increase in size.
It will still be short wavelength windswell but it’s likely to be in the 3 to 4 foot size range by lunchtime.

Harlyn (0*):  Flat

One again Harlyn is a tranquil spot of relaxation this morning, the south sou’ weseterly wind smoothing the sea as it blows offshore.
The surf is pretty much flat right now but we should see a foot or two of sharp little surf cracking onto the sand by lunchtime.

Surf Forecast for Friday 6th August 2021

West sou’ westerly winds are going to be blowing hard toady, pushing six to eight feet of wild and bouncy surf our way.
Harlyn is going to be our surf destination of choice today but it’s likely to be the same for a whole lot of others too! So patience and tolerance are going to be needed today as well as surfing ability!!

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

Another low pressure system is aiming our way for the weekend, bringing fresh onshore winds, plenty of dampness and a decent dollop of chunky surf.
Friday should see some bigger waves finally shaking our surf breaks.
The wind is likely to be blowing hard from the south west making Harlyn our ‘go to’ surf break locally.
In fact Harlyn is probably going to be our main or only option for some clean surf all weekend long, starting out in the ‘biggish’ size range on Friday, reducing to ‘fun’ three feetish size by the start of next week.
It will probably be excessively busy, the combination of south westerly wind and a lumping, thick swell attracting anyone with a surfboard for miles around. So take a little breath of patience and a large measure of tolerance with you if you’re thinking of jumping in!
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
