Constantine (2*):  2 to 3 feet

That early morning downpour seems to have emptied itself quite happily and has now drifted off leaving a bright enough sky, the odd bundle of cloud skipping merrily along in the brisk westerly wind.
The surf is a mess as expected with a couple to three feet of chopped and slopped, weak and wintery looking surf rolling into the bay.
If you’re keen on a surf, it’s okay. Not great just okay.

And if you are tempted out this weekend then it might be worth you dropping in on us!
We have been having a series of successful wetsuit sales over the last few weeks. So successful that we are trying to keep it rolling on!
So as well as a mighty 40% OFF our entire Xcel wetsuit range (except for the 5/4 Axis model which we are offering at only £175 anyway!), for Mother’s Day we are offering all of the ladies’ Patagonia range (wetsuits as well as all clothing, rashvests and summer capsules!) at 40% OFF too!
And if that isn’t exciting enough then we still have a handful of Vissla wetsuits to clear at HALF-PRICE!
Check for sizes by mail or ‘phone before travelling for those though!
And I’m sure that we can conjure up a decent enough discount on anything else that you might want too including a handful of Vissla jackets at HALF-PRICE.
We haven’t forgotten about those surfboards either, although we only have smaller selection of Merrick, …Lost and Pukas boards left, we do have full range of Softech boards in stock just crying out for a knock down price!

Harlyn (2*):  1 to 2 feet

The westerly wind is getting in here this morning, a sideshore nuisance of a wind letting us know that if it was a degree or two more to the south those little wavse would be so much more attractive.
So a foot or two of fairly sloppy and very weak looking little waves are crumbling ashore.
If you’re keen enough then you’ll find a couple of bumpy gliders out there but you might want a more buoyant board than you would usually choose.

Surf Forecast for Friday 9th March 2018

A fairly small and close-fetch kind of swell is going to be pampered and improved by a brisk and strengthening offshore wind.
The south easterly breeze of the morning will strengthen through midday to become a bit of a blow by the afternoon.
But there should be some smooth and hollow little waves to play in before then, even if it is a little small.

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

I think that we’ll be enjoying a breezy old weekend but with plenty of surf washing our way this weekend.
Those gusting offshore south easterly winds of Friday will only slowly veer to the south and eventually south west by Saturday afternoon.
With a gradually building swell rolling our way, we might just get enough size through Saturday to allow Harlyn to come alive.
And then we should be seeing some strong offshores through Sunday blowing hard against a bigger and still building swell.
Six to eight feet of solid, mid-teens wavelength ground swells will be pouring at the more swell exposed surf breaks, three to four feet at the more sheltered spots. It does look really very promising for some serious surf on Sunday!
