Constantine (1*):  2 to 3 feet

Another sullen but mild, humid and dull morning is actually feeling better than it sounds.
The air is fairly still, a light but steady westerly breeze just strong enough to slop the couple to three feet of lazy looking and lumpy surf.
Give it a few hours until the tide has turned and it might just improve, especially if the weather clears up too, which is forecast to happen by mid-morning. But will probably happen by early afternoon.
And then it could just be way better than you would have expected!

Harlyn (0*):  Flat

The surf is pretty much flat around at Harlyn this morning, the odd teasing six inch ripple splashing across the sand just to make you wonder.
It’s a shame because conditions are quite pleasant with the bay being sheltered enough from the breeze to be glassy and calm.
It might be worth a look on the rising tide in a few hours but I can’t imagine it being worthwhile even then, it’s probably going to be a day of surfing two to three feet of lightly slopped stuff over on the other side!

Surf Forecast for Wednesday 22nd August 2018

Small one to two foot surf is expected today with a light south westerly breeze backing gradually to the north west through the day.
We should see some lengthy bright spells but there are still going to be those heavy showers around, maybe in the distance, maybe over our heads. That nor’ westerly breeze is going to chill the temperatures down later too!

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

Those onshore winds are likely to carry on throughout the week, maybe easing for a while through Tuesday before strengthening agin through the back half of the week.
But that wind will continue to blow some swell our way throughout, those sloppy waves getting bigger as the wind freshens, dropping as the wind weakens.
So for a lot of the time we are going to be struggling with that decision as to whether to surf bigger but sloppier and choppier Constantine side or much smaller but sharper and crisper Harlyn.
The weather is likely to be a bit mixed all week too with a chance of seeing some much brighter stuff on Tuesdayish, fading away agin as we go into the end of the week.
But there should be plenty of surf and enough weather to keep most of us happy!
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
