At 8.15 a.m:
Constantine (2*): 3 to 4 feet
A brisk sou’ wester is blowing along the coast under a grey old sky on an otherwise mild and pleasant morning.
The surf is a rolling three to four feet of better than you’d expect, if a bit bumpy, grey but fun looking waves. If the wind doesn’t pick up too much then we should have a fun session or two today.
Harlyn (3*): 2 to 3 feet
A couple to three feet of glassy, if a bit wobbly surf is washing in here this morning, the dropping tide having its effect on it all.
This afternoon’s tidal push should see some more oomph in it, a little more direction and purpose to it all.
But in the meantime it is looking quite small but okay!
Today’s Tide Times:
Low Tide: 13:04 (1.5m) High Tide: 18:57 (6.9m)
Surf Forecast for Wednesday 22nd November 2017
A blowey south wester is forecast for today, pushing the surf up to five or six feet or bigger.
The main breaks are likely to be blown out but then sheltered spots like Harlyn should be firing!
Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week
South westerly winds are forecast to blow through for most of this week, supporting a building swell but making a bit of a mess of the waves at our favourite breaks.
We can expect the week to start out with four to five feet of rolling, powerful surf building to six to eight feet by Thursday, that south westerly wind maybe junking out the surf at our main breaks but grooming and manicuring those same swells as they swing all the way around and into our sheltered breaks like Harlyn.
Yep, it looks like a ‘Harlyn or not in’ kind of week ahead of us! And that’s about right as November crawls to a close.
The water temperature is still relatively mild at about 15 deg C but you can feel a bit of a nip in the air as we reach for our warmer winter suits! Which reminds me that we still have some half-price clearance Patagonia suits on offer, along with a bunch of other wonderful winter suits on offer!
We are only open on weekends right now but you can always mail us at [email protected] for any info!
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
