At 8.25 a.m:

Constantine (4*):  5 feet.

A fiery sunrise is unnerving shepherds across the county this morning as a brilliant Christmas red of an exploding dawn clambers over the far horizon.
Other than that it’s all calm and peaceful with a light chill in the air from the calmest of breezes drifting offshore from the south east.
Oh, and the surf is….. pumping!
Five feet of walling cylinders are spinning ashore, the breeze helping to form those hollow tubes.
There’s a bit of a wait between sets but when they do march in they are tall and powerful and hollow and speedy breaking.
The swell is likely to gradually ease off only a little through the day but the breeze should stay offshore and conditions should continue to be superb!

Harlyn (3*):  3 feet.

A couple to three feet of glassy and snappy little waves are crunching ashore here this morning, the tide dropping quickly towards low and creating that double-up, warpy effect that can be good or dreadful, depending on your precise position at the time.
The incoming tide should smooth it all out and add a little more to it all throughout midday.
Yep, it looks fun!
If the other side is a bit much or you just fancy chilling’ at the ‘lyn then there are plenty of waves to play in here today!

Today’s Tide Times:

Surf Forecast for Wednesday 28th December 2016

Throw in some clear winter sunshine and it is all looking very promising for a day of surfy fun all along the coast!

Surf Conditions for Christmas Week

High pressure is drifting over us for most of this Christmas week, those swell generating depressions being blocked out to sea while the swells themselves roll smoothly through.
Three to four feet of gorgeously shaped surf should keep us occupied well into the back half of this week, south easterly breezes helping to shape those smooth swell lines into peeling and hollow, excellent surf.
By midweek the sunshine should be brightening things up as well, allowing us all to enjoy some Christmas surfy spirit on the beach!
Have a great Christmas week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
